Global Smobal, Think Local

You can have an impact on your world and it doesn’t take a change in lifestyle or a lot of hard work. Actually, it is probably more difficult to avoid making a change; no doubt it’s more boring.

3 ways in which you can support Our Communities and build a better tomorrow.

Support positive community groups with your time and money.
Local organizations, such as the Rotary Club, The Jaycees, The Gillespie Center, and the Lake Minnetonka Historical Society all play a vital role in the character and vitality of our communities. If you agree with their aims and reap the rewards of their triumphs, then you should buy a few arrows, or take a shot yourself.

Voice your opinion and participate in the Democratic process.
Speak up people, local elections are fraught with under representation because the constituents often do not see the importance in who are local leaders really are. These are people who really are just like you and me and haven’t paid an ad agency 1.3 million merely to appear that way.

Shop at local stores and utilize local service providers.
Local retailers and their eclectic storefronts are the face of our scattered main streets. They provide convenient shopping with familiar faces, knowledgeable staff, and an owner that you can look in the eye and shake hands with. Local service providers offer quality work at fair prices and haven’t blown town if a problem arises. These businesses fund our tax base as well as our youth athletic teams. Dollars spent inside the community help support the community, so buy smart, buy local.
