Blue is Lake Minnetonka's New Green

There is no doubt that the environmental and socially conscious movement has progressed into the forefront of our communities and our cultures. Humankind is beginning to return to their fundamental belief that we are merely a piece in the puzzle and not the one putting the puzzle together. Problems arise, however, when a positive movement becomes a popular movement. Popularity brings people with distorted views and self-serving principles. They take words such as: Green, Organic, or Natural, and exploit your perception of them for their financial gain. Green is done. It has been used and abused and left in a ditch for dead. Once a symbol for freshness, vitality, and a bright future, it now serves as a commercial whipping post and sure fire way to obtain that oft heard of, but seldom seen Hippie Gold. Rebel against the consumer consciousness and don’t buy because of how good the box looks, but for the good that comes from whatever is inside. Make the right choices and Make Tonka Blue.
