Check out Music in the Park on Thursdays. Volleyball court, grills and tables, a great playground (sans swing set) and a nice beach with a lifeguard.

Southwest Regional LRT Trail
Following abandoned railroad beds, this 27-mile trail consists of two corridors between Hopkins and Victoria and between Hopkins and Chanhassen. Scenic views of Minnehaha Creek, Lake Minnetonka, Lake Riley, Bluff Creek Ravine and Minnesota River Valley.
Luce Line
Luce Line Trail is a state recreational trail just west of the Twin Cities operated by the Minnesota DNR. Activities include, Bicycling, Hiking. Running, jogging, and walking, Dog walking, Horseback riding, Snowmobiling (west of Stubbs Bay Road), Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing (east of Stubbs Bay Road)

Goose Island - Nice park for a picnic and a swim. Watch out for Goose Poop.
Wawatasso (Boy Scout) Island - Cool island with a camping option. Check out the rope swing if your into a little adventure.
